Our story
Our story is the story of Morocco and Tunisia meeting in the country of mountains and lakes. The distance from our homelands softened when our eyes met. We found a refuge in each other's arms, an embrace that awakened memories of the lively streets of the medina of Rabat and the sun-kissed coasts of Djerba.
transportation
Welcome to Morocco !
The Rabat-Salé airport is the most convenient way to get to Rabat but it is a smaller airport and therefore only offers a limited number of international connections. The Casablanca airport offers a large number of international connections and is 1h30 from Rabat by train or car.
If necessary, Fez or Marrakech airports can also be used to arrive to Morocco. Trains are available to connect the two cities to Rabat but they will take 3 to 3.5 hours.
The Wedding Day
If you are arriving by train, stop at the Rabat Ville train station. From there, you can either take a small blue taxi (5 min) or walk (15 min) to the wedding venue (Palais Kabbaj).
If you are arriving by car, please note that parking spaces near the venue are limited. It is therefore better to leave your car a few blocks from the venue (Palais Kabbaj) and walk.
music
Music is an important part of our weddings. We would like to know your favorite songs so that our musical orchestra can perform them during the wedding. Only songs in Arabic can be played by the musical group but do not hesitate to suggest Western songs. We can play them at the end of the evening.
How to dress?
Traditional Moroccan clothing embodies the history and identity of Morocco. It has developed over centuries, drawing inspiration from the multiple dynasties that have reigned over the country. Today, there is a wide range of traditional outfits that are worn proudly on special occasions.
At weddings, women wear a caftan or a takchita, but men generally wear suits.
The caftan is a long, elegant dress, featuring rich embroidery and often accompanied by a belt at the waist. The takchita, for its part, is a luxurious outfit made up of 2 pieces. The first is called the tahtiya which is a lightly embroidered caftan and the second is the dfina which is a richly embroidered and decorated open caftan. It is also worn with a belt at the waist.
We have contacted designers who rent wedding outfits for guests. If you are interested, you can fill out the form below. We will organize a fitting once there.
It is also appropriate to wear a Western outfit or a traditional attire from your home country.
gifts
Your presence and love on our wedding day are the greatest gifts we can receive.
For those of you who would like to honor us with a small gesture, we would be delighted if you could contribute to the budget for our honeymoon in Kazakhstan. In doing so, you'll be helping us create magical memories of the beginning of our life together.
We prefer not to receive physical gifts, given the difficulty of transporting them from Morocco to Switzerland.
